Brand new year, brand new sounds! 2023 seems set to be packed with a great range of fantastic artists releasing new content. From chart-topping hits to the punk rock resurgence, we’re already spoiled for choice. Here is a list of six albums by LGBTQ+ artists with imminent release dates to keep an eye out for.
RuPaul – Black Butta (January 6th)
Bring out the hand fans and glitter balls, because the Queen of Drag herself is back with her fifteenth studio album Black Butta. Following on from the release of her lead single Star Baby, RuPaul is continuing to provide fans with confidence-boosting pop hits. The album also features the holiday anthem Show Me That You Festive and A.S.M.R Lover (featuring Skeltal Ki), already indicating a range of sounds for the new record.
Måneskin – Rush (January 20th)
Ever since their landslide win in Eurovision 2021, Italian band Måneskin have received global attention from fans of all ages. The rock group have impressed listeners with hits like I Wanna Be Your Slave and their cover of Beggin’, which quickly went viral on social media. Their upcoming third studio album Rush promises a route of dance-punk, whilst also sticking to their origins of pure rock.
