A One-Day Gathering for Women/Womxn Service-Based Small Business Owners.
As a small business owner in the Bay Area for the past few years, I've noticed a lack of structured community for women/womxn who are running service-based small businesses. This event is my desire to build that community. We all know how lonely it can be to run a business so let's get together and amplify each other, support our businesses and build a thriving referral network.
This event is for diverse women/womxn and diverse businesses.

Books in Harmony was established in December 2017 by Serah Blackstone-Fredericks, the CEO & founder. Serah grew up in the Bay Area, alternating time with her father who owned a historic African American Art Gallery and her mother who worked in Tech. Seeing the polarity in her parents' spending habits ignited an interest in developing healthy financial habits. Today, Books in Harmony is a small women-run bookkeeping firm that operates out of San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
Serah will be presenting on Bookkeeping Apprehension Uncovered, an in-depth look at our emotional ties to managing our business finances, and how to sift through emotions to create a solid system and file accurate and timely quarterly taxes.
Snacks will be provided by local and women-owned business LeCupboard (www.lecupboard.com)
