Through our previous national events #BAMEed first asked in 2017 "How do we move beyond Unconscious Bias?" Since then we have moved our thinking towards the "Habits of Highly Effective People" and "Owning our Professional identity" in BAME contexts.
Click on the links above to read more about those events.
We have cosigned with significant education groups on the DfE'sStatement of Intent on the diversity of the teaching workforce, built a showcase page for BAME speakers, revitalised our coaching and mentoring programme and added BAME voices to strategy groups on education.
In keeping with our ethos of all inclusivity, BAMEed invites you to join in the chorus. Unite with us to drive intent into action at the University of Brighton on June the 15th, 2019.
MANY VOICES, ONE AIM
There are many BAME stories to tell, many journeys towards understanding racial difference, many voices of all backgrounds speaking truth to power.
Speakers/workshops/Information all to follow!
Join us as we listen to each others' experiences and add your voice whether you identify as black, asian, minority ethnic or white all are welcome and all are valued. As we commit ourselves towards our one aim:
An education sector that is a reflection of our society.
#BAMEed #Diversity #Education #Leadership
Thank you as ever to our supporters for their continued support; Leeds Beckett University, LyftaED along with TES Institute.
