To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign 25th-10th Nov #HearMeToo, Orange the World, Barnet will be holding its very own VAWG conference On Harmful Practices ●Honour based violence ● FGM ● Forced Marriage. It will be held at the Sangam Centre, 210 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, HA8 0AP 9:30am-3pm. This event will be for anyone interested in identifying, understanding, challenging and eliminating Harmful practices as well as increasing confidence to report to specialist services. Violence Against Women and Girls conference will be open to members of the community, charity organisations, education services, council, police, health, housing, faith, LGBT groups. The format of the day will include specialist speakers, break out sessions, stalls and a chance to network with organisations and individuals who work in this space.
