We are looking for people who identify as bi+ (anyone who identifies as bi-/pan-/poly-/omni-/multi-sexual/romantic/curious) to take part in Biconography, a photography project dedicated to raising bi+ visibility and celebrating the diversity of people and experiences found within our community. We provide a photographer and a selection of props to elevate your aesthetic and capture a snapshot of your identity or experience. The idea is to be so overtly visible we can no longer be overlooked.
So what do you need to bring? If you have an idea you want to try out you can bring an outfit/props to match it, but no worries if not. Really all you need is your fabulous self, and a willingness to go in front of the camera. We'll also be gathering quotes or short pieces of writing to accompany the photos, if you want to contribute to that you might want to think about what you want to say.
This event is taking place at Flamingos coffee house, an LGBT+ friendly community space in Leeds. Although it's a new enterprise it has quickly become an invaluable part of our community and a vital dry space for LGBT+ events and socialising.
You can find the project @_Biconography on Twitter and Instagram, or @Biconography on Facebook.
Participation is free but please book a ticket in advance so we can plan accordingly.
For liability reasons this is an 18+ only event.
Flamingos is an accessible venue with gender neutral toilet facilities.
