This two-day training is built on practical approaches for people in various roles and levels wanting to learn how to build LGBTQ youth programs with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and gender-expansive youth. Participants are encouraged to attend this training from those in idea incubation and early planning stages, to their first five years supporting LGBTQ youth-inclusive programs or groups. The first day will focus on best practices & providing a framework for building amazing programs, and the second day will focus on youth facilitation, boundaries & application of these new topic areas.

This training will focus on a variety of topics, including:

- Grassroots Community Need Assessments

- Approaches to LGBTQ Recreational and Youth Centered Programs

- Facilitation learning lab practice

- Boundaries, Ethics & Accountability

- Overview on Program, Policy & Building Design Structures

- Exploring Funding Streams & Grants

An additional booklet full of LGBTQ youth curriculum and workshop ideas will be available for an additional $50 fee.
