Calling LGBT+ Women! - REGISTER

As Part of the Turn It On Festival.

Want to try something new in 2020? Then find your funny with comedian and trainer Kerry Leigh. In this workshop learn some top tips for confidence and connecting using humour; making yourself and others feel good with comedy; and not taking yourself too seriously. There’s a time and a place for humour, and its Hope Mill at 1pm, 26th January.

This event is for self-identifying women who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer or questioning, all or part of the time, including trans women, B.A.M.E women and women of colour, disabled/neurodivergent women, women who are seeking asylum or have no recourse to public funds, women of all faiths and backgrounds, and non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people who want to access a women-centred space.

How to find Hope Mill Theatre

FROM MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE:

Head along Great Ancoats Street (away from City Centre) towards Ibis Budget Hotel on Pollard Street. Turn left onto Pollard Street. Continue along Pollard Street for 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Chesshyre Avenue. Turn immediately left onto Little Holmes Street. Hope Mill Theatre is directly ahead

FROM THE MANCUNIAN WAY: Exit Mancunian Way and continue on Pill Mill Brow. Turn right onto Every Street. Continue onto Beswick Street. Turn left onto Pollard Street. Hope Mill Theatre is on your right

TRAM We are a short walk from New Islington Tram Stop, which is one stop on from Piccadilly on the Ashton Under Lyme/ tram, continue to walk in the direction the tram is travelling in. You soon come to a pub on a corner called ‘The Bank of England’ Pub. Continue down that road (cars cannot drive down it) and Hope Mill Theatre is on your left!

CAR There is free on site parking however this is a shared space with the rest of Hope Mill and so spaces are subject to availability.

Please note that on Manchester City Match Days or when there is an event on at the Ethiad Stadium, there is £5 car park fee.

BUS The 216 and 231 service both run from Stop at D in Piccadilly Gardens. The 261 stops at New Islington Tram Stop and the 231 stops at Carruthers Street (near St Anne’s Church).
