Hosted by Birmingham City University in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust and the University of Greenwich this event seeks to introduce students and young people to social sciences through an event exploring discrimination in football. Bringing together young people, social scientists and professionals this day will be full of social media campaigning, football and workshops. Come along to the event to get involved and make a difference in tackling discrimination in football.

This is event is being funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as part of the Festival of Social Sciences. The festival runs from 2nd-9th November 2019 and helps researchers engage with new audiences. This year's ESRC Festival of Social Science has over 470 events being held across the UK. The Festival of Social Science celebrates some of the country’s leading social science research, giving an exciting opportunity to showcase the valuable work of the UK’s social scientists and demonstrate how their work has an impact on all our lives.
