International Coming Out Day (ICOD) is celebrated every year on October 11 to raise awareness of the challenges faced by members of the LGBT+ community who regularly have to ‘come out’ (disclose their sexual orientation and/or gender identity) in both their professional and social lives.
To mark ICOD Wood's Pride Network, in partnership with InterEnergy invite you for an afternoon of networking and round table discussion on active LGBT+ allyship, and how this can help us to create working environments where everyone can be themselves and achieve their full potential, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
This event is free to attend and primarily aimed at those:
- accountable for diversity and inclusion in their organisation
- involved in LGBT+ inclusion efforts in their organisation
- who have an interest in LGBT+ inclusivity or just want to find out more.
The workshop will be followed up with a one-pager of ideas/best practice based on the discussions to share with your organisation.
Please note that there is a short safety induction video to watch so please arrive at Wood’s reception in time to complete this before the event starts at 13:00.
Any questions? Please email Wood's Pride Network.
