MINDY HAS TWO MOMMIES … NOT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THIS.

Mindy doesn’t know how to explain this to the children in her class, especially Danny. He is always out to tease and be mean to Mindy.

Teacher Beth has had enough of this nonsense. She decides that Mindy and Danny have to work together on their school project – this means that Danny will have to go to Mindy’s house to do the work!

Will the two be able to work things out? Will Danny change his mind about Mindy’s family and see that they are a normal family, just like any other? Tune in for ‘My family is not so different from yours’ and enjoy this adventured filled with funky songs and a lot of heart.

Children can be mean and unforgiving when it comes to things they do not understand or have never dealt with. Our puppet show, ‘My family is not so different from yours’ aims to show children ages 3-9 that there are different types of families and that all families are the same, – it’s people who love and care for one another.

We also aim to give children from diverse family’s tools to help them deal with the struggles they might deal with at school on a daily basis.

We will also show you how to make your very own puppet.

REGISTRATION IS A SLIDING SCALE OF $10 TO $50 PER TICKET (AS YOU CAN AFFORD)

LGBTQI artists and businesses have been hit hard through show and events cancellations. Together we can support the arts and our LGBTQI community. The virtual festival provides the opportunity to help through financial donations, however small.

Foremost, this virtual festival has been set up to support LGBTQI Artists and businesses!
