LGBT mental health charity ELOP will be screening Céline Sciamma’s 2011 film Tomboy to commemorate International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), the day the decision was made to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization in 1990.

What expect

Tomboy tells the story of a 10-year-old child named Laure who, after moving to a new neighborhood, deliberates presents as a boy named Mikhael to the local children.

Following the screening, ELOP will host a Q&A, inviting special guests to speak about their experiences of being part of the LGBTQ+ community, including author and comedian Rosie Wilby and founder of 17-24-30, Mark Healey.

This is a free event but we will ask for a small donation on the door which will go to LGBT+ anti-violence charity, Galop.
