In conjunction with CAMERA on Campus, KCL Israel Society and QMUL Jewish and Israel Society, UCL Friends of Israel Society presents ‘Israel: Beyond the Headlines’ with Shai deLuca-Tamasi.

Shai is a Canadian-Israeli interior designer and television personality, who in 2002 set up his own interior design business in Toronto, and in 2011 became the Design Expert for CityLine, North America’s longest running and most successful daytime show for women. He also served in the Israeli army, and is a fierce advocate for Zionism and the State of Israel.

Join us to hear Shai talk about how his love for Israel has shaped his professional experiences, from serving in the IDF as an openly gay engineer to becoming an interior design sensation whilst also remaining one of Israel’s most ardent and outspoken defenders. Shai will also be discussing LGBT+ rights in Israel and how to bridge the gap between religious and secular ideologies.
