Dr. S. Heijin Lee, Assistant Professor at NYU and freelance journalist Lai Frances delve into representations of gender roles in Kpop. They explore the traditional notions of masculinity and femininity reflected in artists’ concepts, relating to perceptions of innocence and sensuality. Speakers discuss trailblazers breaking stereotypes in the industry and highlight LGBTQ+ issues in Kpop.
