Stonewall Housing was the first LGBT+ charity to receive public funding in London in 1983 to open supported housing for young lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT+) people. However, as we approach 2020, LGBT+ people in London have less access to this specialist housing support.
Stonewall Housing is inviting representatives from a select number of local authorities in London to a breakfast briefing supported by Earth Evolutionary Arts Hackney and Trust for London.
You are being invited because your borough has one of the highest number of young LGBT+ people calling us for housing advice and support.
We would value your company at this brunch briefing where Stonewall Housing staff and service users will explain more about their experiences and they will be showing the new ‘House of Stonewall’ short film about our ambassador programme.
A delicious brunch provided by Shuk . Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
There will be an opportunity to talk to those who currently commission our supported housing and to discuss how local authorities can work with others to improve housing services for LGBT+ people.
We look forward to meeting you.
