You are cordially invited to a workshop on LGBT and I Health organised by the Yorkshire Medical Society in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield.

Interest in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health issues has increased in recent years, given the legislative underpinnings for LGBT equalities in the UK. However, many challenges remain to ensuring equal access to healthcare for this diverse range of people at a national level and internationally. The increased prominence of a wider range of identities, such as non-binary and pansexual, raises interesting questions for practitioners, academics, activists, and policy makers. Intersex people, whose issues are different to those of LGBT people, face major barriers to health-related human rights, which require attention.

The workshop is open to postgraduate students, academics, researchers, members of the LGBT and I communities, activists, and practitioners working in the field.  The event will take place in the Oastler Building, Level 7 Room 31-C at the University of Huddersfield
