LGBT+ Awareness Training in Selby
About this Event
This 2 hour training session is led by local LGBT community worker CJ - and will cover the different aspects of LGBT awareness from terms and definition, the barriers that LGBT people face and how to make your services accessible and safe for LGBT people. It will also cover the local services available for the LGBT community and referral processes.
The training session will also briefly look at HIV awareness and how this intersects with the LGBT community, as well as how it disproportionately affects other marginalized groups.
The training is free and will take place at Selby Citizens Advice. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
