LGBT+ History - an afternoon to share ideas & thoughts for great events across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin

WHEN: Saturday 28th September 2019
WHAT TIME: Arrive 1pm for a free lunch (veggie/vegan), followed by information, chat and connecting!
VENUE: The Hive, 5 Belmont, Shrewsbury SY1 1TE

February 2020 is the fifth year of events to mark LGBT History Month in Shrewsbury. For 2020, as well as encouraging more people to get involved, we'd like to promote events from all around Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.

You are invited to come to this afternoon workshop to add your ideas to the pot and to find out about resources you could borrow to create an event in your area - for example:

• We have 2 sets of the LGBT+ History Boards which could form an exhibition
• We have School Curriculum Posters depicting LGBT+ people from history alongside each curriculum area
• We can access film licences for some LGBT+ themed films

You will have opportunity to add to these offers - for example - you may be happy to give a presentation on a particular subject of LGBT+ history

You will find out about volunteering opportunities for events in Shrewsbury

You will play a part in selecting the theme for February 2020.

And - you really will get a free lunch!

Booking is essential so we know how much lunch to provide and to make sure we don't over-fill the venue.
