LGBT Humanists 40th Anniversary Lunch

LGBT Humanists is the community section of Humanists UK, originally founded as a separate organisation in 1979 in response to the Gay News blasphemy trial instigated by Mary Whitehouse. We are a force for humanist values as well as LGBT rights, and have played a major role in shaping society’s increasingly tolerant attitude to LGBT people. We have been instrumental in helping bring about significant changes such as same-sex marriage (which we have helped to extended to Northern Ireland next year!)

To mark this occasion, we invite you to join us for a special 40th anniversary lunch at Browns Covent Garden, London on Sunday 24 November, 12:30 - 16:00.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be joined at the event by:

Mark Gatiss, award-winning actor and writer
Peter Tatchell, tireless human rights campaigner
Adele Anderson, Olivier Award-nominated singer and actress
Ian Hallard, television actor and writer
Andrew Copson, Chief Executive of Humanists UK

Please join us for an afternoon of special guest speakers and notable table hosts, where you will be treated to a three course dinner, a glass of Prosecco, and half a bottle of wine.

This special event will raise funds for our LGBT community work and rights activism, including securing a ban on gay conversion therapy.

A successful lunch will also help us to fund and organise a big LGBT Humanists Conference in London next June as part of the Humanists UK Convention.

We hope you can join us at this special event!

Tickets: £65.00
