At our monthly meetings, the Self Advocates get to know other LGBTQ adults with IDD and individuals from the mainstream LGBTQ community, receive self-advocacy training, learn about resources and how to gain access to such resources, explore life experiences, gender and sexuality terminology, share wants and needs from the LGBTQ community, work through coming out experiences in a safe space, explore participation in inclusive events, and receive contraceptives and education on healthy sexuality. 

Those that are not LGBTQ adults with IDD are welcome to join meetings and events, as Allies, if they are willing to foster a safe, anti bullying, anti shaming, non judgmental environment for Participants to freely share and socialize.
