Launched in October 2017 in response to the ground swell of interest, and growing examples of good practice, in palliative and end of life care for LGBT people, the London Hospices LGBT Network aims to support hospices to be inclusive employers; allowing their staff and volunteers to bring the authentic version of themselves to work and provide excellent personalised care to LGBT people.

The morning sessions will focus on what makes a hospice an accessible and LGBT friendly environment to work in, and how we support our workforce to address the issues surrounding sexual and gender identity.
The afternoon will open our eyes from a patient and family’s point of view, drawing on research and personal stories to bring to life the lived experience of being in a minority sexual or gender identity group.
