In September, National Student Pride launched its brand new network designed for the heads of university LGBT+ societies to be able to connect and collaborate: the One Network.

So we’ve got a lot planned:

After the success of our London and Manchester workshop events, we want to bring together LGBT+ officers from across the West Midlands to come and meet their counterparts.

This will help facilitate conversation and co-operation in figuring out how societies can work together to improve the overall LGBT+ student experience.

Learning from each other, we will discuss:

1) What each university is doing to improve the LGBT+ student experience

2) How much LGBT+ societies are capable of doing at each university, and how this could be improved with a more collaborative approach

3) How to manage the pressure of an LGBT+ society and stay on top of uni work as an individual

(Each university can bring up to 3 officers from their society. Travel expenses can be reclaimed up to £20.)
