So! The pub lunch we did in September at The Regent was a lot of fun, and we have decided to make it a regular social. On a Saturday this time. To be honest we didn't get round to any of the art-ing last time because we were having such good conversation! We have the same tables booked as before, which are the 2 larger tables at the back of the side room (closest to the toilets - hopefully some of this makes sense). Everything else about this event seems covered by the event description from last time so I'm just gonna be hella lazy and copy that over to here:
"Hello handsome devils of all genders and none!
This social is going to be a very relaxed pub lunch get together at, of course, The Regent. Alan came up with the idea for this social, and suggested we combine it with a kinda 'art jam' atmosphere, like what we had at our 'Fuck Off Fringe' brunch. So basically we'll be getting some food and drinks in the early afternoon, hanging out, and people are free to draw/make whatever takes their fancy. This'll probably mostly mean pencil/pen sketching and mini zine making - we will bring materials - but any creative things you wanna bring/do with a bit of table space are most certainly welcome. Knitting, origami, whatever makes you feel good!
IMPORTANT NOTE! If you wanna come and draw/make, but hate the taste of food and beverages on your tongue, you can just come and say hi, and do a lil something creative with friendly queer people in the vicinity, in a completely inclusive, judgement-free space.
Equally, if you think drawing is a nightmare, or aren't feeling at all creative on the day, but could devour a bucket of food and meet some people while your stomach tries not to explode, that's fine too! Also just because it's a pub, you absolutely shouldn't feel like you have to drink alcohol, if you don't wanna :) There is really no pressure to do any of the things mmkay?"
Feel free to message us if you have any questions. Would be lovely to see you there for a chill end to the week - as always, everyone is welcome :D xo
