This NYE, plan to spend it with sWC and Swoon at Queertopia! Come and engulf yourself in a utopia deemed the ultimate NYE bliss for Chicago Queers. A celebration of newness and freedom, Queertopia aims to provide an alternative to the usual NYE Vibe. Built on the premise of affordability and accessibility, the night will take you on a utopic journey to a world that is safe, and loving for us all.

swoon aims to bring the lgbtq+ community in Chicago together to dance+connect+party, with a focus on qtpoc+trans/gnc+femme identified folx to the front, always. Our goal is to create an intentional space where our politics remain in our party and we can give back to our community through the funds we raise. Any racist, transphobic, misogynistic, etc behavior is not tolerated in any capacity at our events.

smallWORLD Collective is a celebration of community and solidarity in the form of electrifying pop up events around the city of Chicago. With an emphasis on fluidity and individuality, sWC is always a space for you to be exactly who you are.
We often find ourselves saying “small world” when we realize just how intimate and small our world really is. We say it when we meet mutual friends, or recognize a stranger isn’t as strange as you may have thought. We are all connected, we are all family, and sWC’s intention is to highlight that phenomenon.
Accessibility notes: the Burlington does not have wheelchair accessible bathrooms. there are no stairs or steps except to get to the DJ booth. the space is scent/fragrance free, there are no strobe lights or anything similar, and there is some seating available in the front bar. The bar gets crowded at our events, so we suggest early arrival to secure seating. Swoon also has glowstick necklaces available by request for folx who wish to avoid being photographed at our events.
