Some of my best friends are gay

This is a free one-day course delivered by THT Norfolk for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Norfolk.

Aim:

  • To understand the impact of homophobia and heterosexism, language, and key issues facing the lesbian, gay and bisexual community.

Outcomes: (participants should be able to)

  • Participate confidently in work with the gay community.
  • Identify some of the detrimental effects of homophobia and heterosexism.
  • Describe ways to increase confidence in 'saying/doing the right thing'.
  • Identify ways of making a service more user friendly for gay, lesbian and bisexual service users.


Lunch is not provided, although tea and coffee are available and there are shops nearby. Free parking is available on site at the ASDA car park, please give your car registration to the course facilitator on arrival.
