THE GODZ - live performance with film THE PARTY IN TAYLOR MEAD'S KITCHEN
Jeffrey Wengrofsky opens his residency at Film Noir Cinema with an event pairing film and live musical performance.
He will present The Party in Taylor Mead's Kitchen, a short film featuring Beatnik and Warhol Superstar Taylor Mead that screened at DOC NYC, Boston LGBT Film Festival, Berkeley Video and Film Festival, and at London's Framestore Premiere Theater, among other fine locations.
This will be followed by a live performance by The Godz an original psychedelic/noise band from New York City. A major influence on Sonic Youth among others, The Godz released five mind-blowing albums on Bernard Stollman's legendary ESP-Disk label from 1966 to 1973.
