Tower Hamlets Peace Walk

ower Hamlets No Place For Hate Forum, ELOP, Tower Hamlets LGBT Community Forum, Real Disability Hate Crime Project and Local Voices Project are working together to organise a Tower Hamlets Peace Walkduring National Hate Crime Awareness Week on Wednesday 17th October 2018

The walk aims to raise awareness of National Hate Crime Awareness Week and promote the Tower Hamlets No Place For Hate Campaign along with local hate crime advice and support services.

The plan is to gather in Altab Ali Park at 2.30 pm.

At 2.45pmn we will leave the park, we will use the crossing to cross over to the north side of Whitechapel Road, turning left and then right into Brick Lane.

We will walk all the way along Brick Lane until we meet Bethnal Green Road, turning right and then walking along Bethnal Green Road until we turn right into Derbyshire Street. We will then proceed to Oxford House (aiming to arrive there by 3.45 pm) .

There will be light refreshments and a few speeches including:

  • Sarah Humphreys from Tower Hamlets LGBT Community Forum/ELOP.
