We are excited to announce the Trans* in the CLE conference that will take place September 14th 2019, 9:00am to 6:00pm at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland (6705 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102). This event celebrates the Trans* and gender non-conforming community and brings together individuals and organizations for connection, resources and celebration. The conference theme is Trans* in the CLE: Resilient. This theme reflects of the challenging social and political climate that transgender and gender non-conforming individuals continue to navigate in Cleveland and the United States, and highlights the resiliency and power embodied within our collective identity.

We will feature a series of workshops geared toward the trans* community.Space is limited.

This year's keynote speaker is AC Dumlao of CallMeThey

Mx. AC Dumlao, pronouns they/them/theirs, is a proud queer transgender non-binary first-generation Fillipino-American. As an activist, educator, and artist their work is dedicated to centering and uplifting underrepresented and multiply marginalized people and their communities. They are the creator of the social justice Facebook page Call Me They and the Instagram @menswearselfcare. They have appeared various times on television and in print media. They were named a 2019 NYC Pride Community Hero, and were on the lead float in the NYC/WorldPride March on June 30, 2019.
