#WorkFair Overcoming Obstacles

I am truly the luckiest man in the world.

As most of us have, I had to overcome some obstacles in my life in order to achieve what I have personally and professionally.

My mother was a drug addict and alcoholic, I was subjected to incest & sexual abuse among other issues while living in the worst place in the US.  My father then came out to bring us back to Central Pennsylvania where we were raised.  I put myself through university while selling my plasma twice a week for grocery money.

I later got married to a woman, had a couple of beautiful boys, had some medical issues including muscular dystrophy, Type 1 diabetes, had a couple of heart attacks, a few strokes, went completely deaf in my right ear, had a kidney transplant, a pancreas transplant, had both organs fail, one permanently and am going to be legally blind in a couple of years among many other medical issues.

However, I never let that get me down.  In spite of those obstacles, I was still able to win 3 state championships, was awarded a scholarship to study abroad, was selected by a Fortune 500 company as their top national recruit, became a country manager at 29, and became the CEO of a public company at age 39.

I was able to come up with a 9 step process on not only how to overcome those obstacles, but how to achieve your real goals.

In this discussion, I will talk you through those 9 steps and help you become more confident in your interviewing process.

Come with some reflection capabilities and an open mind!
