Welcome to Across Rainbows, where our mission is to empower LGBTQ+ individuals to find and claim their true selves. Here, your voice matters, and your identity is celebrated. We provide a range of resources, including talks, workshops, and a vibrant community, to support queer people of all ages and backgrounds in standing up, making confident and courageous moves, thriving, and living life on their own terms.

BACK OFF. BACK UP. STREET SAFETY AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Back Off. Back Up. (BOBU) Campaign

Two years ago, we launched the Back Off. Back Up. (BOBU) street safety campaign. Currently active in Brighton, London, and Kendall, we're expanding to more cities with the goal of establishing a network of BOBU safe spaces throughout the UK.

Our Objectives

Safe Spaces: BOBU aims to provide safe spaces in businesses such as bars and restaurants, where individuals can seek refuge if they feel in danger.

BOBU App and Sticker: The BOBU app and sticker help identify venues where staff are trained to support those feeling unsafe.

Bear Necessities Training: By completing this training and displaying the sticker, businesses become 'go-to' places for all customers, especially those in need of a safe space.

The BOBU Bear Necessities Training

The BOBU Bear Necessities Training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to create safe and inclusive spaces in various professional settings, including hospitality, entertainment, retail, and corporate environments.

The BOBU Bear Necessities Training draws on contributions from marginalized communities and individuals, designed by people with personal experience of the issues. It promotes a mindset of inclusivity, enabling businesses to become genuinely customer-centric and safe spaces for all.
