We continue to challenge ourselves and hold ourselves to account to ensure that our culture is upheld internally and in the work we produce throughout all of our offices.

We want everyone to have a career that grows with them. We also want to ensure that all our people have the chance to succeed, and so we focus on equitable opportunities and programmes so that all are able to flourish and progress. We’ve developed multiple ways to help connect our network as strongly as possible and we make sure every person in it gets exactly what they need to make the most of their potential.

EssenceMediaCom’s 500 strong team of digital experts (the largest of any agency in the UK) work across our clients’ entire marketing ecosystems to drive better returns and more profitable outcomes. They don’t work in silos, but deploy their expertise in cross-channel systems thinking, planning and activation. This breadth of expertise allows us to see the bigger picture for our clients, providing best-in-class digital planning solutions that combine real-time activation with integrated above the line activation and consumer insights using market-leading machine learning. We also launched the UK’s largest ‘Google Practice’, a dedicated team of 250 experts that deliver a more comprehensive and specialist service across the Google ecosystem to its clients.

Seeing the Bigger Picture means that our network of 1,400 people helps our clients look beyond the boundaries of traditional media to uncover new ideas and unlock growth. Our teams in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh challenge conventional thinking to build, optimise and drive our clients’ businesses forward at scale. As well as leading our industry in critical areas such as diversity, inclusion and sustainability.

Diversity & Inclusion

At EssenceMediaCom we want to eradicate inequality. We don't tolerate it and when we see it, we act. We attract, support and develop our talent without bias and strive to foster the empathy, creativity and diversity of thought needed to drive meaningful change for our people, our clients and our industry and society.

We commit to offering equitable opportunities for each and every employee. Everyone at EssenceMediaCom has the collective responsibility of fostering an inclusive culture and to be active allies for those who need it. We commit to building teams which reflect the diversity of our country and the cities in which we operate. We will always put the collective voice of our Employee Resource Groups at the heart of our inclusion work to ensure we understand the needs of our employees. We have launched a senior sponsorship scheme and will continue with our cultural accelerator programme to provide our people with access to the support that they need to thrive and flourish. We will continue to tackle microaggressions and have launched an awareness project on the subject; a key part of this is an allyship training programme designed to help people become active allies. We will ensure that everyone at EssenceMediaCom is held accountable to our commitment by setting diversity and inclusion focussed targets.

We use our Inclusive Planning approach in response to all client briefs to ensure that marginalised groups feel represented in campaigns and the messaging is authentic. We aim to build a workforce that truly represents the country in which our clients advertise and sell products.

And we pledge to be open and honest about our inclusion journey. We will try new things and share the results and learnings with our clients and our media partners. We also want to learn from others and believe that transparency is the only way we will transform our industry.
